Raw Cane Sugar
This sugar is grown by cane farming families from Tully all the way North to Mossman North Queensland.
It is a natural granulated sugar which is golden in colour & has a honey like taste. Typically this type of sugar is used as a sweetener for coffee.
Once the sugar cane has been harvested, it is transported to a raw sugar mill where it must be milled as soon as possible. The juice is extracted from the cane where it then enters a purification process where it is concentrated and boiled. This concentrated juice is then concentrated even further to make small sugar crystals that is the start of the raw sugar crystal. These sugar crystals are then grown to the desired size by adding more juice, resulting in the Raw Sugar Product which we use in our coffee.
This product is marketed in a 175 gram bag of Raw Cane Sugar
